How to use the toggle trick in Best Buy App to find in stock products

You can use the Best Buy mobile application to find whether or not a product is currently in stock at a specific brick-and-mortar store. This is an extremely helpful feature if the product you are looking for has extremely low stock and/or in extremely high demand, which will lead to the item being quickly sold out. These may include the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series X and the latest graphics cards.

To see how you can properly use this toggle trick, you can follow the steps laid out in this tutorial from Overly Technical.

1. First off, open the Best Buy App if you haven’t done so already.

2. We also recommend that you log into your Best Buy account. Furthermore, you should also have your preferred payment option saved.

By doing so, you will be able to quickly purchase the product you are looking for if it is in stock online. You may then be able to pick it up from a physical brick-and-mortar store or get it shipped to your address.

3. We also recommend that you enable the Location permission. This will allow the Best Buy App to detect your current location and then automatically generate a list of the closest brick-and-mortar Best Buy shops in your area.

To enable Location in the Best Buy App, go to the Stores section. If you see the following message:

“Let’s point you in the right direction. Turn on location services to see nearby stores.”

Then you need to select the “Enable Location in Settings” option underneath it.

On the system menus of your smartphone or mobile device, you then need to allow the Best Buy App to use the Location permission.

5. Once you have everything set up, search for the product you want to buy in the app.

6. On the search results page, you should a toggle located on the top left side of the screen. It is to the left of the “In store at…” message that will then show the currently select brick-and-mortar Best Buy store. Make sure that you turn on this toggle.

7. If the product you are searching for appears after you enable the aforementioned toggle, then it may be in stock at that physical location. If you can’t order the product online, then we recommend that you head over to the brick-and-mortar store as soon as possible to purchase the product. You can also try contacting the store to see if the product is actually in stock.

8. If turning on the toggle did not show the product in the search results page, then you need to click the link that has the physical address of the currently select Best Buy brick-and-mortar store.

In the change store menu, you can then switch to a different store. You can keep changing stores to see if any of the nearby Best Buy shops have the product you are looking for in stock.
