Can you check your Petco gift card balance in the app?
Unfortunately, you can’t use the Petco App to check for the balance of your gift card.
Instead, you can call the Petco customer service and then ask the representative to give you the information.
Alternatively, you can visit a local brick-and-mortar Petco store and then ask a sales associate to check your gift card balance.
Can you add the gift card directly to your account?
The Petco gift card can’t be added directly to your account. Instead, you can only use the gift card when you are actually making a purchase.
How to use gift card during checkout process
In order to add a gift card during the checkout process in the Petco App, you need to take the following steps:
1. To start off, you need to open the Petco App on your smartphone or portable device if you haven’t done so already.
2. Inside of the mobile application for the pets retailer, add the items that you are planning to buy in the shopping cart.
3. You then need to tap the Cart icon, which is located in the middle of the bottom menu.
4. In the Cart menu, you then need to select the Secure Checkout option.
5. If you haven’t already signed into your Petco account, then you will be asked to do so in the next screen.
In order to log in, you will need to input the email linked to your Petco account as well as your Petco account password.
Alternatively, you can skip the sign in process by selecting the Continue as Guest option at the bottom.
6. In the next screen, scroll down to the Promos & Gift Cards section.
7. From the Promos & Gift Cards section, select the “Have a Gift Card?” link.
8. You should now be in the Gift Card menu. Here, you need to enter your gift card number and pin code. Once you are done, tap the Save option located at the top of the screen.
9. Your gift card should now be applied to your current order.
If total amount of the order exceeds the gift card balance, then you will need to pay the difference by using another payment method.
If you still have some balance remaining after using the gift card for the order, then you can apply the same gift card again in a future purchase at the Petco store, website or app.
